General guide to determine the size of a replacement mortice lock
Mortice locks are sized by the depth of the lock case and the rectangular hole the mortice into which the lock fits.

If you are replacing an existing mortice lock, most of the time you can find out what size you need without removing your old lock. Simply measure from the edge of the door to the center of the keyhole.

If the measurement is approx 45mm you need a 64mm, 65mm or 67mm lock.

If the measurement is approx 57mm you need a 76mm, 78mm or 80mm lock.
